I was first introduced to SpiderTech at the Association of Volleyball Professionals competition in Manhattan Beach, CA back in 2009. I was impressed with the incredible intricacy with which the tape had been precut; shapes and forms I would never have been able to replicate myself no matter how big a sheet of tape I had been given. I originally thought, perhaps, that it was too involved, and too complex, to be of any real use. But after watching how quickly it could be applied, and the noticeable increase in effectiveness it had on the athletes, I was hooked.
I have since used SpiderTech at numerous events with USA Taekwondo, USA Triathlon, and AVP. Both the material and the adhesive remain true to the Nitto Denko quality I have come to trust over the years, and I can honestly say that there is no other tape I would recommend over SpiderTech!

Upon my return from the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, there was an explosion of kinesiology tape companies onto the scene, each touting their product as being the “Best”! Thank you Karrie Walsh! It’s rather difficult to sort through them all, but I can say that over the years, I think I have used about every brand of kinesiotape on the market and in my opinion, SpiderTech is hands above the rest.
In 2009, after receiving a call from an old friend and colleague, Dr.Jay Greenstein , an introduction to Dr. Kevin Jardine was made! A short time later, we met at the AVP Manhattan Beach Open. For the next two days, I welcomed Dr.Jardine in joining our medical team. His apparent knowledge of functional anatomy and therapeutic exercise was refreshing and helpful in treating our athletes. It was here that I had my first exposure to SpiderTech and how unique, innovative, and effective it is. I was impressed with the intricacy with which the tape had been precut; shapes that would be impossible to replicate and the ease of application. Treating one of our top pro athletes with the shoulder SpiderTech application for chronic shoulder pain and altered biomechanics, she played for the first time in 2 years without pain, and eventually won the event. I was equally impressed with the full knee application. I treated a pro cyclist recovering from a severe knee injury, and he was able to ride immediately without pain. I believe that SpiderTech was instrumental in this cyclist speedy recovery and his return to racing this year with an 11th place finish at the World Championships. I have also continued to get superior results with each and every other SpiderTech application I have used. It really has become an integral part of how I treat my patients. In my opinion, the increase in their recovery rates and function that they experienced were things that they were not able to achieve using standard kinesiotape alone.
Recently, I completed the SpiderTech Certification program. I can only say that Dr.Jardine’s ability to teach the concepts of the application of SpiderTech was impressive.well thought out, and obviously based on extensive experience and research. I would highly recommend this program to anyone regardless of their experience in the application of kinesiotape.
I am impressed with SpiderTech which continues to lead the industry in research and testing . Both the material and the adhesive remain true to the Nitto Denko quality that I have come to trust over the years. I am amazed at how consistent and durable SpiderTech is over the other brands of tape that I have used.

I am writing this letter in recommendation of the SpiderTech presentation put on by Dr. Justin Ross. He came to our training room a week ago and presented 3 hours of informative lecture, 2 hours of slide presentations and an hour of hands on practice. We, ATCs and PTs alike, found it to be a great review as well as a new approach to add to our toolbox of treatments. He left us a good deal of samples which we have since tried on some of our athletes with some success. We would recommend everyone to take 3 hours of your day and allow Dr. Ross to present this information to your organization.
